Tres pescadores mexicanos son encontrados cerca de las islas Marshall luego de naufragar nueve meses y nueve días. La hazaña los convierte en héroes. Joe Kissac, editor de libros de Atlanta, encuentra en el naufragio un mensaje de Dios que él debe difundir. Semanas después firma con ellos un contrato millonario para hacer una película. Parece que el regreso a tierra es sólo el inicio del naufragio.

After nine months nine days in the depts of the south pacifc, three Mexican fishermen are found adrift near the Marshal Islands. The journey transforms them into heroes. Joe Kissac, book editor from Atlanta, finds in the shipwreck a message from God he must tell the world. Weeks later he signs with them a 4 million dollar contract to produce a film of their trip. It seems that touching land was just the beginning of the real journey.
